There was a soft, cool breeze and it blew back Alexandra's hair. It was a weekend, which meant no work for her, at least. Mother and Father didn't actually require her to work, but she felt it was good training, to learn how to fish, to know what was edible and what wasn't. So, unlike most other people in the District, she had days off as she freely chose. It was nice, to live an easy lifestyle, and simply everyone would take advantage of that right? As the mayor's daughter she was free to do whatever she wanted, but she chose to live a life or work and training. Being rich didn't mean you had to be a typical rich girl who couldn't do anything for herself. Certainly Alex was indeed a tomboy, or you could say something similar to that, but she wasn't exactly that. She was more an... overly competitive female, and she was perfectly fine with that. She wanted to see the arena, to make everyone else taste their own blood in a painful death. She would not lose a fight that she was so close to winning. Though, Alex wasn't going to volunteer. She wasn't that person. She would wait until the time came. Being a volunteer only took away someone else's chance at fame, and Alex wasn't one to steal the spotlight away from another tribute, even if they didn't want it. Her feet clicked along the path, her dark black converse. They were worn out, and they didn't give off some rich girl feel, so she was into them. Her usual outfit was a t-shirt and her jacket, along with some jeans. She didn't spend her time primping her appearance like the idiotic Capitol women. She wasn't in it for men, but if she found one along the way, certainly she'd grab hold of it if she could. You take what you want in some situations, but in others you simply wait for it to come to you. Boys were the only thing that Alex allowed to come to her. She was determined to do everything, and boys were another matter to be dealt with later. Her eyes sifted through the streets, looking for a familiar face, though she didn't really care. She pushed people out of the way, getting several angry glares, but some completely apologized, as if they had gotten in her way. It was annoying, but she didn't question another person's motives in that way. She was the mayor's daughter after all. Alex may not have known many people, but certainly quite a few knew her. She finally made her way out of the big jumble around the city center, and then was headed off in a direction. She didn't know exactly where she was going, but Alex occasionally liked to wander, and see if she could find some place new. It trainer her eyes, looking for nooks and crannies. Though, she often ran into other people when doing this, just like she was about to. |
